S.P.A.M.A

We are self funding and operate by obtaining contracts with the Ayuntamientos of the towns and villages of the Safor region to collect abandoned animals normally sent to Valencia to a certain death. Our policy is never to destroy healthy animals and we work towards rehoming them wherever possible. If we can prove cruelty and negligence, it is our policy to prosecute. At the moment we have 4 cases awaiting judgement in the courts due to the Denuncias served by S.P.A.M.A. The save Caesar campaign and also Sophie’s story are 2 of our more publicised case prosecutions.

In 2005 we rehomed over 150 dogs and during 2006 we doubled this figure. All animals rehomed are micro chipped and released with passport, fully vaccinated. We also have a policy to sterilise all our female cats and dogs.

This is a group of expats who are dedicated to the welfare of abandoned animals. They are not affiliated with any particular organisation, but are ready to listen, and, wherever possible, help, either financially or with advice.
