A Walk in Spain

Our area, La Valldigna, is situated in the La Safor mountain range in the province of Valencia.

The area encompasses several small towns/villages consisting of Simat, Benifairo Tavernes La Drova and Barx. The first three can be found in the valley itself while Barx and La Drova are situated on a raised plain above the valley.

The accommodation is all situated in La Drova, a good starting point, and within a 5 mins of the first walk. It can be reached along the coast (N 332 or A7 motorway) from Alicante or Valencia or inland from Alzira (N 332). The valley is completely enclosed by mountains, except for the east side where it opens out towards the coast.

Views of La Drova

The road from Gandia to Barx follows the course of a stream as it winds its way through the only opening that will take you to our high valley. This view, although stunningly beautiful, gives you no clue about your first view of La Drova.
